Thank you for visiting my website for Counselling in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.
I am Jane Wharmby and I offer you a friendly, confidential counselling service near Chesterfield and within easy reach of Sheffield, Bolsover, Clowne and North East Derbyshire.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I don’t work in a fixed style of counselling but cherry pick from different styles and tailor the sessions to each individual to best suit them and their problems. In order to do this I have been trained in integrative counselling and have added to this with extra courses as I have progressed.
I work with many different issues and problems, for example bereavement, anxiety, depression, anger management, abuse and low self esteem and offer both short term and long term counselling sessions.
The first session is always an assessment, which is really a "getting to know you" session and is not an assessment of you as a person. It gives the time when I find out about you and your problems and also gives you the opportunity to find out about me and decide whether you feel you can talk to and work with me.
Sessions last for an hour and I am available weekday evenings from 5.00 p.m. and for part of Saturday mornings subject to availability. The frequency of sessions is very much up to you and is to suit your needs, although a rule of thumb is that they are more frequent at the beginning and have a greater time in between towards the end.
£50.00 per hourly session
Some concessionary places are available - please ask for information about spaces available.
Block payment of £250 can be made at the outset to cover 6 sessions, this can be treated as a rolling arrangement for longer term counselling.
